Greetings to you from St. Augustine Florida. I am Captain Brett and I have been living, sailing and teaching on the waters of St. Augustine for over fourteen years. Before that I had the good fortune to be able to sail all around the world. I started sailing in California at the age of nine on my own Hobie-cat, and was giving lessons there at sixteen. After college, I lived with my father, an international English professor, and step-mother in places as varied as Spain, Greece, Japan, Malaysia, and for a good time in Mexico. I was fortunate in that I was able to sail in all those countries, learning not only the way of the seas there but also the different ethnic and cultural ways of the local inhabitants. Establishing my own family run sailing school here in St. Augustine was a long time goal. I have based St. Augustine Sailing Adventures right here in the downtown St. Augustine Marina in order to provide easy and convenient access for my sailing customers. As you may have seen throughout our website, safety and professionalism is one of my major concerns.
